Once I located that it was a breeze. Unfortunately, the brain trust at Subaru made the installation a real pain. The Curt hardware is marked in yellow. How heavy is your trailer? I am a happy camper. I read the instructions that came with the hitch receiver and they made little sense to me. Said the hitch should show up on Thursday, but it was here Wednesday.

You really need a step-drill.

Installation was Straightforward and si mple Installation required additional tools to enlarge holes in frame. Anna was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. My installation went without nudriver hitch pun intended! Installation was easy and the hitch looks and works great! Oh, one last point: Ordering was easy and delivery was very fast.

Hitch appeared well made and rugged. I really liked the installation videos that were available for both of the products.

So glad I ordered from etrailer. I should have used a torque wrench to tighten bolts, but I settled on a good pump on the ratchet and I feel secure. How heavy is your trailer? All fit perfect and the end results look great.

The video shows discarding the heat shield but I found that it is easy to drill two bolt holes in the heat shield for the hitch bolts with a unibit so that the nurdriver can be reinstalled, not discarded. I also modified the existing heat shield matna marking the area that needed to be cut out and reinstalled it. Very sleek and hidden. The install talks of 30 to 60 min or maybe more of you are not used to these installs.
