I previously had a stuttering issue on "only" music playback with my SigmaTel High Definition CODEC, but after rolling back my drivers to the default Microsoft tones, the audio stuttering disappeared. All times are GMT I checked the site: Having no sound on my laptop makes it so silent I have tried updating it but without the laptop knowing that its there I cannot update it.

TexasCoolaid Replied on January 3, I click on it and I get the no audio output installed. Downloaded it and my sound works again All times are GMT Cross your fingers and use Vista or XP for now.

If I go to device manager my sound card show up fine. I have a three year old Dell E laptop that shipped with Vista.

This same exact thing happened to me. I thought I would try to update the driver to see if that would fix it.

Since I have never used Microsoft audio drivers, are they of the same quality as the SigmaTel's? This morning I got fed up and found the free download for the sigmatel high definition audio codec We're just thinking too hard I guess.
